Interior Features
The new Ram 3500 is available with three cab styles: a Regular Cab with three seats and a Crew Cab and Double Cab with six seats. The seats are well-padded for superb comfort and are accompanied by a sufficient amount of legroom and headroom for tall passengers to stretch out comfortably. The cabin also features an active noise cancellation system that results in a quiet ride by preventing road and wind noise from outside.
Standard features include a full cloth headliner, vinyl/cloth upholstery, armrests with underneath storage, cupholders, vinyl door trim insert and a glove box. Options include leather seat trim, heated and ventilated seats, wireless device charging and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The front row features a well-tuned dashboard with an infotainment touchscreen that guarantees a positive driving experience. However, the touchscreen comes in different sizes based on the trim level. The preliminary Tradesman trim features a 5-inch display, while the Bighorn and other higher trims upgrade to an 8-inch touchscreen, and the Limited trim comes with a 12-inch touchscreen.
The 5-inch center display comes with Bluetooth® audio streaming. Both of the larger displays come standard with Apple CarPlay®, SiriusXM®, Android Auto™ and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Amazon Alexa, HD Radio™ and navigation system come standard on the 12-inch touchscreen.
The cargo bed measures either 6 feet or 8 feet. Plus, you can customize the beds by opting for the excellent RamBox® system, which makes managing your cargo much more convenient.
Performance and Towing
The new Ram 3500 comes standard with a 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 that churns out 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The optional turbodiesel engines come in one of two varieties, which each provide different amounts of power through six-speed automatic transmissions. The first option produces up to 370 horsepower, while the other can provide up to 420 horsepower. Any engine you choose will deliver tremendous towing capacity, ranging from 15,000 to 37,000 pounds.
Drivers in the Lynn Haven area should expect a ride quality that feels smooth and refined. You can also look forward to direct and capable handling, making it suitably maneuverable for driving around Southport. The new Ram 3500 handles well in off-road scenarios with several off-road features, such as plenty of ground clearance, large wheels and a heavy-duty leaf-spring suspension.
